You now have several ways to pay your parking ticket.
On-Line - click here to make payment
Pay by phone or in person - Contact Administration at 207-363-1031 during business hours; Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm
Pay by mail - make checks payable to the Town of York Police Department. Place check in the yellow ticket self-addressed envelope add postage and mail.
All payments must be in US Funds.
Parking Appeals - A parking appeal must be sent to the parking clerk within 24 hours of issuance of the ticket. The appeal process in done in writing and all appeals are reviewed by the overnight Sergeant. No verbal appeals are accepted. You may complete the written appeal form at the Police Station or on-line.
Your appeal will be reviewed within ten (10) days from the date we receive the written or electronic appeal. The Penalty will not be assessed during the appeal process.
All information from your ticket must be filled out on the appeal form. Any appeal missing information will result in an automatic denial and all penalties will apply.
You may only appeal a ticket once. Once a decision has been made by the Sergeant, the appeal form cannot be re-submitted. The Sergeant's decision is final and will not be overturned.
Upon final decision of the Sergeant, the amount due on the appeal form must be submitted within ten (10) days.
If you have not received an email or written notificiation regarding the decision of your appeal within 10 days, it is your responsibility to contact our office at 207-363-1031, failure to follow-up up could result in a late penalty.
Please keep in mind an expired meter is a valid ticket.
Beach Parking Permit is NOT VALID in Short Sands Park (metered area where all shops are). This lot is privately owned and not Town property.
