SRO Grades K-8

The Middle School SRO Officer is responsible for the York Middle School, Coastal Ridge Elementary and the Village Elementary school.  This officer has several responsibilities.  The primary responsibility is the safety of the students and staff.  The SRO handle any parent / custodial issues that may arise as well as any criminal matters that take place on campus.  With three schools under the watch of the SRO, each school has its grade-specific programs.  

All three schools York Middle School (YMS), Coastal Ridge Elementary School (CRES) and Village Elementary School (VES) participate in the DARE program at grades 1, 3 and 6 with at graduation a schools year-end.  In addition to DARE, there are many other programs the SRO participates in; programs like a bike rodeo, Halloween Hop and more grade-specific programs are

YMS - Enrichment classes for the 5th and 6th graders throughout the school year.
CRES - Kickball with COPS for the 3rd and 4th-grade students
CRES - Storytime for the 2nd graders
VES - a morning walk to school program
